The construction of the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline will considerably change the situation in the region, Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian told journalists stating the agreement on the pipeline construction concluded last week as “a most important event”. In his opinion, with the exploitation of the pipeline Armenia and Iran “will acquire new strategic significance”.
