A round table is held in Moscow titled “Nagorno Karabakh: from standstill to progress,” in which Armenian and Azeri experts, as well as Nagorno Karabakh representatives participate. The measure is held under the patronage of the World Peace Organization (WPO). As WPO President Vadim Izhevsky told Novosti Russian news agency, one of the main goals of the forum is creation of conditions for closer dialogue between the parties involved in the Karabakh conflict, with active participation of the Russian side. “The results of such a meeting can have a positive impact on Russia’s relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he noted. “We suppose Russia should promote active use of the political and economic potential of the Armenian and Azeri Diasporas to solve the Karabakh conflict by means of popular diplomacy,” Vadim Izhevsky said.
