In two years Georgia will have the most efficient army in the region, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili stated. In his words, the leadership has to take a choice: “either to cover the social debts or to strengthen the army”. “Georgia lacks for both as well as for good roads and energy, however, the army is one of our priorities”, M. Saakashvili said. According to him, the Georgian army possesses 100 armored cars, over 20 helicopters and 7 warplanes. We are going to replenish our armament till the end of the year, the Georgian leader stated.
