MILLENIUM CHALLENGE CORPORATION DELEGATION ARRIVED IN YEREVAN

The delegation of the Millenium Challenge Corporation headed by General Director Paul Applegarth arrived in Yerevan today. During the visit the corporation representatives are to meet with the Armenian leadership and discuss the projects the Armenian government is going to present for receiving financial assistance from Millenium Challenge Account. To remind, in early May Armenia and Georgia were included in the list of the countries eligible for the assistance. As reported by American sources, the corporation administration selected the countries, which began taking rapid steps towards the preservation of civil rights and corruption elimination. The Account Budget will amount in $1 billion for year 2004.
