NATO GOING TO OPEN REPRESENTATION IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

The NATO is going to turn the South Caucasian and Central Asian countries into the “central hub” of the Partnership for Peace Program, stated US Assistant Secretary of State Elizabeth Jones. In her words from now on the Partnership Program will pay more attention to its initial goal – strengthening the military cooperation between the NATO and the partners. “As part of the initiative the NATO intends to open its regional representations in the South Caucasus and Central Asia,” the US Assistant Secretary of State said. The NATO leadership intends to announce it at the coming Istanbul Summit.
