The trial of Azeri officer Ramil Safarov, accused of murder of his Armenian colleague in Hungary, will be held in September. According to Baku 525 newspaper, it was stated by Adil Ismaylov, the plenipotentiary lawyer of the defendant. In his words, the Hungarian legislation prohibits direct participation of foreign lawyers as barristers at court. Thus, a decision is made that A. Ismaylov and lawyer Elchin Usubov will participate in the sittings as aides of the defendant’s father. Meanwhile, as reported by Zerkalo newspaper, the parents of the accused Azeri officer expressed discontent with the indifference of official Baku to the fate of their son. In the words of Safarov Sr., he cannot exercise his right to leave for Budapest to see his son.
