The European Union (EU) is interested in the soonest possible settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and establishment of stability in the region, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie stated in the course of a meeting with Nagorno Karabakh Foreign Minister Ashot Gulian in Stepanakert. Noting that the South Caucasus is in focus of the attention of the European structures, H. Talvitie reported that not replacing the Minsk Group the EU intends to actively contribute to settlement of the Karabakh conflict. In the course of the meeting questions referring to inclusion of Nagorno Karabakh in the talks, as well as its participation in regional projects were discussed.
