Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian is satisfied with the meeting with Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Erdogan during the NATO summit in Istanbul. As he told journalists in Yerevan today, this meeting once again proved that “Turkish leadership really wishes to achieve progress in settling relationships with Armenia”. V. Oskanian also discussed the prospects of restoration of railway communication between the two countries with his Turkish colleague Abdullah Gul. Oskanian reminded that both the US and EU contribute to Armenia’s efforts to reconstruct Kars-Gyumri railway.
