My visit to Nagorno Karabakh testifies of the fact that the EU attaches great importance to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie stated in Stepanakert today, Mediamax reports. In his words, “earlier the EU intended to implement its programs at the final stage of the settlement, now, however we are ready to render assistance to the region as soon as we witness progress in the settlement process”. Noting that he last visited Nagorno Karabakh 10 years ago, H. Talvitie stated: “Thanks to your efforts you have achieved considerable changes in many areas.”
