2 DEPUTIES RUN FOR PACE RAPPORTEUR ON KARABAKH

Either Slovenian deputy, head of the PACE Political Committee Roman Yakich or member of the deputy social faction, Spanish deputy Maria Puge can be appointed to the post of the PACE rapporteur for the Karabakh problem. As reported by 525 Baku newspaper according a source in CE, after Terry Davis was elected the Secretary General for a 5-year term, there emerged the necessity to appoint the new rapporteur on Karabakh. This issue is to be considered during the PACE fall session. The newspaper writes that PACE Secretary General Bruno Haller, who visited Baku the other day, stated that the report on the Karabakh conflict will be made late this year. However, during the sitting of PACE Political Committee held on June 24 T. Davis said that the document will be submitted to the Committee on September 15.
