BAKU DISSATISFIED WITH MINSK MEDIATORS’ STATEMENTS

The statement made by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs regarding the impossibility of settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict without mutual compromises by the conflicting parties caused negative reaction of Baku. The mediators are not interested in the fair settlement of the conflict, leader of the Azeri National Independence Party Etibar Mamedov told Turan agency. “Co-chairs should realize that neither Azerbaijani leadership nor the opposition will make concessions”, he said. Leader of the Azeri Musavat party Isa Gambar also directed his criticism the co-chairs and supported the position on foreign policy held by former advisor of the Azeri President Vafa Gululadze, who said that Azerbaijan cannot to make concessions to Armenians. In the opinion of the ex-minister of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan Tofik Zulfugarov, co-chairs should criticize any non-constructive position of the parties to conflict.
