RUSSIA APPRECIATES OSCE PARTICIPATION IN REGIONAL CONFLICT SETTLEMENT IN POST-SOVIET SPACE

Russia appreciates the participation of the OSCE in settlement of regional conflicts in Europe, including the post-Soviet space. It was stated by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Yakovenko, when answering the question whether the question of cooperation between Russia and the OSCE in settling conflicts in Kosovo, Transdnestria and Nagorno Karabakh will be discussed at the annual meeting of Foreign Ministers of OSCE member states, to be held in Sofia December 6-7. “It is necessary for the OSCE to demonstrate impartial and weighed approach to the events, consideration of opinions of all interested parties and maximal support of available negotiation mechanisms,” A. Yakovenko stated.
