ARMENIAN CARGOES CROSSED VERKHNI LARS CHECKPOINT AND STAND IDLE IN GEORGIA

As a result of the negotiations between the Russian and Armenian Presidents Russia arrived at the decision to open Verkhvi Lars checkpoint, where the cargoes destined for Armenian had been standing idle, Minister of Transport and Communication of Armenia Andranik Manukian informed, RFE/RL reports. To note, among the cargoes there are lorries with special loads belonging to the Armenian Defense Ministry as well as vehicles, which carry out commercial transportation. According to the minister, the Russian frontier guards let the vehicles pass, however the problems emerged at the Georgian sector of Verkhni Lars. Andranik Manukian also reported that the negotiations with the Georgian party have been already started.
