GOOD BASIS FOR ARMENIA-BELGIUM FURTHER COOPERATION FORMED

Today newly appointed Belgium’s Ambassador to Yerevan Daniele del Marmol (residence in Brussels) handed her credentials to Armenian President Robert Kocharian. As reported by the President’s press service, Yerevan highlights both the development of bilateral relations with European states and the cooperation within the frames of common European structures. The President also said he is satisfied with the rates and efficiency of development of the Armenian-Belgian cooperation. When touching upon the issues of economic cooperation R. Kocharian noted that within the EU frames Belgium is Armenia’s major commercial partner. In his words, at present a good basis is created for the further interaction between the two countries. To note, the parties also considered regional problems during their conversation.
