PACE RESOLUTION ON ARMENIA’S MEETING COMMITMENTS TO CE UNPRECEDENTED

“The resolution on Armenia’s fulfilling the commitments to the CE adopted at the PACE autumn session is unprecedented”, Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, head of the Armenian delegation to PACE Tigran Torosian told journalists. “In the CE Armenia has a better stand as compared to other states of the region, what we should consolidate for the development of democracy and resisting the forthcoming challenges”, he noted. When touching upon the proposals made in regards of Terry Davis’s report, Tigran Torosian noted that the offer of the Armenian party to involve the Karabakh’s representatives into the negotiation process was not approved. Nevertheless, in his words, it was a statement on Armenia’s position and the country will advocate it within the frames of the report on Karabakh.
