ILHAM ALIYEV: MECHANISM FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF UN AND OSCE DECISIONS NECESSARY FOR KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

Application of double standards to conflicts in the world is inadmissible, stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Baku TV companies. In his words, the main question lies in working out a mechanism of implementation of the UN and OSCE decisions on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. I. Aliyev also said he was sure that application of international law mechanisms would allow to solve the conflict soon. At the same time the Azeri leader reported that the PACE will discuss the situation around the Karabakh problem at the January session. “Azerbaijan works for the Council of Europe to give a political evaluation of the confrontation,” I. Aliyev stated, adding “it would become a firm political basis for solution of the problem.”
