December 4-5 the proposal package of constitutional reforms in Armenia will be discussed at the Venetian Commission recurrent sitting “Democracy through Law”, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Gagik Harutyunian stated at a press conference today. Speaking of the constitutional reforms in 2005, the Court Chairman noted that an important issue, the international community pays attention at, is whether the necessary balance between branches of power is kept. Addressing the question of sending Armenian military to Iraq, G. Harutyunian noted that the issue is beyond the Constitutional Court authority.
