SERGE SARGSIAN: ARMENIA-US MILITARY RELATIONS PROGRESS EVENLY

Yesterday Secretary of the National Security Council under the Armenian President, Defense Minsiter Serge Sargisan received Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Laura Kennedy and US Ambassador to Armenia John Evans. As Defense Minister’s press secretary Seyran Shahsuvarian reported, during the meeting S. Sargsian said “the Armenian-American military relations progress evenly”. Besides the Minister underscored: “it is important for us and we will follow this way”. When touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Laura Kennedy said that being the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair the US will do its best to resolve the problem peacefully. Addressing the pressing subject of terrorism the US State Department representative stated that “the only true way to struggle against terrorism is cooperation. On behalf of the government of my country I express gratitude for your readiness to send a contingent to Iraq.”
