Thanks to the efforts of “Alania’s Women for Fatherland Rescue” organization and the Alanian Diocese a dinner for the Armenian citizens, who have been staying near Ergneti settlement at the border between Georgia and Southern Ossetia for already several weeks, was organized. Some of the people have spent 48 days there, some of them have arrived “lately” – on October 8. As Regnum agency reported, deputy head of the OSCE Mission in Georgia Witold Karp has phoned a number of institutions, but everywhere he was told that the issue is beyond their competence and the question remained unsolved. Meanwhile, one of the passengers caught Botkin’s disease and the Georgian authorities allowed him to return to Yerevan. “Shall we all fall ill for them to let us pass?” other passengers ask. They anchor big hopes with the upcoming visit of the Armenian President to Georgia. To note, the Armenian citizens expressed their gratitude to the Ossetian public organizations, which have been providing them with foodstuffs and medical aid all this time.
