ARMENIA INTERESTED IN ADVANCED GEORGIAN-RUSSIAN RELATIONS

“We are highly interested in good, stable and advanced relations between Georgia and Armenia. There are no problems, Georgia has, that would leave us intact,” – stated Armenian President Robert Kocharian in an interview with First Channel of Georgian state television. In the President’s opinion, the fact is evident. At that the Armenian leader noted that if the interest is available, Armenia will try to do its best to arrange Georgian-Russian relations. At the same time R. Kocharian noted that the mediation resource of the Armenian party is limited and “the last word, of course, belongs to the Georgian and Russian parties.” “There really is a large potential of cooperation between Georgia and Russia,” the Armenian President said. In his words, “the emotional part should be left out and what is favorable for both parties should be marked in a very pragmatic and rational manner, and then tried to be realized.”
