Armenian President Robert Kocharian today received European Union Special Envoy to the South Caucasus, Ambassador Heikki Talvitie, being in Yerevan within the framework of a regional visit. The parties discussed the European new neighborhood policy. Having noted that the policy opens new prospects and emphasizing Armenia’s readiness to cooperate with the EU, R. Kocharian at the same time considered important to specify the content of the new neighborhood, the expectation from the countries it is addressed to. The parties also touched upon the Karabakh issue, the process of fulfillment of the commitments to the CoE and other questions.
