“Azerbaijan’s initiating a discussion in the UN on the issue of the territories, controlled by Nagorno Karabakh, proves once more that the Azeri party is not interested in resolution of all problems available in relations between NK and Azerbaijan,” Deputy Foreign Minister of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Masis Mailian stated today when commenting on the UN General Assembly Committee decision to include the issue in the 59-th session agenda. “Such non-constructive actions of Baku put insuperable obstacles on the way of solution of the problems of refugees and displaced persons. They can bring to naught the mediators’ efforts to establish durable peace and stability in the region,” the Deputy Minister noted. If Azerbaijan had wanted to form an atmosphere favorable for solution of the problem, she would have responded to the numerous proposals of the NKR authorities to resume the full-format talks, which is the most effective means to that end, M. Mailian said.
