“CENTER OF GRAVITY OF NATO PARTNERSHIP POLICY TRANSFERRED TO SOUTH CAUCASUS”

A conference devoted to the role of public opinion in forming favorable security atmosphere opened in Yerevan yesterday within the framework of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council. 30 representatives of 25 Euro-Atlantic states take part in the two-day event. As noted by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Tatul Margarian, public opinion is a significant factor in conflict settlement in South Caucasus. “After the Istanbul summit it can be said that the center of gravity of the NATO partnership policy was transferred to the South Caucasus,” he said. It should be noted that representatives of missions accredited in the NATO, Foreign Ministry departments of NATO member and partner states take part in the conference.
