ARMENIA AND RUSSIA HAVE NO PROBLEMS IN MILITARY TRAINING

Yesterday Secretary of the Security Council under the RA President, Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian received Commander of the North Caucasus Military District, Army General Alexander Baranov. Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia Anatoly Dryukov was present at the meeting as well. As press secretary of the RA Defense Minister Seyran Shahsuvarian reported, during the meeting S. Sargsian noted that Armenia and Russia have no problems in military training – joint exercises are conducted and annual joint works are carried out. In his turn General Baranov said he is acquainted with the region and mentioned of the warmness the local inhabitants treat the Russian soldiers. “I am sure that the warm relationships between our nations will preserve not only in military but in other fields as well”, he noted. The parties reiterated that the Armenian-Russian military, economic and cultural cooperation is at a new high-grade level and is based upon friendship and mutually beneficial partnership.
