November 12 Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian received OSCE Minsk Group Russian and French Co-Chairs Yuri Merzlyakov and Henry Jacolin in the Armenian Embassy in Moscow. As reported by the press office of the Armenian MFA, they discussed current issues and the prospects of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. To note, on the same day, Vardan Oskanian took part in the sitting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). According to the source, the agenda of the sitting included a number of issues referring, in part, to the formation of a perfected CSTO security system, quick and efficient reaction to new challenges and threats, struggle against organized crime and illegal drug circulation. In his speech V. Oskanian focused attention at the fact that some CSTO member-states backed Azerbaijan’s initiative on inclusion of the item on the territories bordering with Karabakh in the agenda of the 59-th session of the UN General Assembly. The Armenian FM said he is puzzled since such a position conflicts with the stand the MG Co-Chairs adhere to.
