The United States and the European Union (EU) pledged to work together to support the aspiration of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia to integrate into the Euroatlantic community, the release issued by the US Department of State on occasion of George Bush’s visit to Europe says. The document notes that the EU New Neighborhood Policy and NATO Partnership for Peace Program contributes to strengthen ties with the South Caucasus. The US and EU worry for security and stability in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea coast in view of the unsettled conflicts available in the region. “We support the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova and join efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict in Pridnestrovye, South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Nagorno Karabakh”, the release says.
