ARMENIA WELCOMES EUROCOMMISSION PROPOSAL TO INTENSIFY RELATIONS WITH OFFICIAL YEREVAN

Armenia welcomes the European Commission proposal to intensify relations with official Yerevan and expresses readiness to immediately begin work over the Individual Plan of Actions within EU Wider Europe: New Neighbors program, Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia Hamlet Gasparian stated when commenting on the European Commission report on Armenia made public March 2. In his words, based on the report the European Council will pass a decision on working out the Individual Plan of Actions within the EU Program. The report sums up EU-Armenia relations, depicts the social, economic and political record of Armenia. “Armenia will take into account the Eurocommission observations and will compare them with its own position in the Individual Program of Actions,” H. Gasparian noted.
