FIRST GRAPHIC EDITION ABOUT ARMENIAN GENOCIDE ISSUED

“Silence. Order to Constantinople”, the first graphic edition depicting the Armenian Genocide has been published in Armenia. As the author of the illustrations Tigran Mangasarian said at the presentation of the book, no thing of the kind has been issued in Armenia so far. The present edition tells the young population of Armenia about the real amount of losses during the period of 1915-1923. The idea of creation of the book occurred to Tigran Mangasarian 2 years ago and then he appealed to script writer Ruben Tsaturian, who in his turn noted that it was rather difficult to work with the material which served a basis for the book. The history of the Armenian Genocide is represented in the book through the story of Harutyun Partashian’s family.
