A planning conference on Rescuer 2006 military exercise to be held in July under the patronage of the U.S. Armed Forces European Command opened in Yerevan today, RA MOD Spokesman, Col. Seyran Shahsuvaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net. The event will last till February 7. To note, Rescuer 2006 exercises are conducted within NATO Partnership for Peace program and are targeted at working out actions in emergency situations. Representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and the U.S. will take part in the exercises.
