During the talks over settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict Armenia will not step aside from three basic principles – NKR independence, its security and communication with Armenia, Oskanian said. Only after recognition of Karabakh people’s right to self-determination other questions can be discussed, Armenian FM Vartan Oskanian stated during his two-day visit in NKR. He considers speaking of return of refugees and territories or peacekeeping forces premature.
«If literally today President Aliyev stated in Washington the Karabakh issue should be solved within territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which territories can we speak about,» Vartan Oskanian said. He remarked all three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will arrive in the region in May, while Azeri and Armenians presidents may meet in June.
