The delegations of Serbia and Kosovo Albanians managed to fix some progress at the talks held in Vienna. As U.N. mediator, Austrian diplomat Albert Rohan said, the parties agreed on protection of cultural and religious sites in Kosovo. That first of all refers to the Serbian Orthodox Churches in the regions inhabited mostly by ethnic Albanians. However the main item of the Vienna negotiations remains unsettled. The Albanians of Kosovo demand complete independence while the Serbian government is ready to grant Kosovo the status of autonomy only, reported Deutsche Welle.
