The next rail echelon with Russian military equipment is sent to Armenia from Georgia. The echelon of 9 cars with property of the 12th Russian military base in Batumi is heading for Gyumri, Armenia. The Georgian Defense Ministry reported that heavy machinery is still at the Batumi base and it will be withdrawn gradually. The withdrawal of the military equipment and property is held in line with the agreement between the Georgian and Russian Defense Ministries signed in Sochi March 31, 2006.
