Campaign in Name of Humanity Familiarizes Americans with Armenian History

Members of the Campaign in the Name of Humanity, the organization of American Armenians, paid a visit to the Armenian Embassy in the U.S. November 15 to meet with RA Ambassador Tatul Markarian and embassy staff. The group held actions in support of the Armenian Genocide recognition in Los Angeles, Washington and 12 States in July-November as well as organized rallies in 11 major cities of the United States. Group leader Vahe Abovyan and students of Los Angeles educational institutions arranges lectures on the Armenian Genocide, new genocides and the necessity to stop the genocide in Darfur. Thanks to this action the issue of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the American press. The action completed with a march towards the White House and U.S. Congress where the participants met with members of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Frank Pallone and Joe Knollenberg, reported the RA MFA press office.
