Action Plan to Become Good Basis for Strengthening Armenia-EU Cooperation

Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian met with Ambassador Per Eklund, the newly appointed head of the delegation of the European Commission to the RA, reported the RA leader’s press office. Congratulating the diplomat on the appointment President Kocharian emphasized that the Armenia-EU relations have entered an important and practical stage. The Action plan is ambitious and covers a large scope of issues, the President said adding that the Armenian side expects support of the European Commission and active work with the EU member states. “We eye the Plan as a serious possibility to continue universal and coordinated reforms and will try to apply it in corpore,” the President said. The sides also voiced opinion that the Plan will become a good basis for the strengthening of the Armenia-EU cooperation in the course of next five years.
