The new U.S. Ambassador to Armenia will be appointed in the near future, said U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Anthony F. Godfrey. He is optimistic about the issue and thinks the appointment will become a natural conclusion of the dialogue between the U.S. President and the Congress. At that Mr Godfrey rates the closest appointment as a necessity, since there is plenty of work to do in the republic. “Anyway, the issue will be decided in Washington but not in Yerevan,” he underscored.
