Pelosi received 255 votes, to Boehner’s 174.
Pelosi, a Californian who represents one of the nation’s most liberal congressional districts, will lead a Democratic majority that has grown by more than 20 members since the end of the last Congress, the AP reports.
Nancy Pelosi is one of the co-sponsors of the Armenian Genocide Resolution (H.Res.106).
As a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter came to know from a source in Washington, a similar resolution may be introduced in the 111th Congress.
