On March 20 RA President Serzh Sagsyan and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan had a meeting with 48 party leaders to discuss consequences of world financial crisis in Armenia. The leaders addressed their questions to the President.
According to Prime Minister, the meeting had an interesting an unusual format, was important and productive. All the parties were given a chance to express themselves, hear their colleagues’ offers and search for ways out of the current situation, Tigran Sargsyan stated adding that such meetings are very important as they help understand inner problems and mood of the country.
”We heard out all the offers submitted and will give close consideration. The suggestions were related to tax reforms, credit volumes, necessity to control price raise, establishment of solidarity atmosphere in the country,” Tigran Sargsyan stated. He stressed that despite ideological differences between the parties, leaders of political forces were sincere in their efforts. Sargsyan referred to the critic voiced during the meeting as constructive.
