Until the Armenian-Turkish relations are not normalized, Armenia cannot be considered fully independent country, Suren Surenyants , member of the board of the “Republica” Party told a press conference in Yerevan today. According to him, the greatest guarantor of independence are friendly relations between the neighboring countries.
According to Mr. Surenyants, signing of protocols between Armenia and Turkey is one more step towards normalization and development of the Armenian-Turkish relations. “I was rather concerned by the closed oligarchic system, if it can go through this complicated process,” Mr. Surenyants said.
“After signing the protocols there will be changes for the better within the country,” Mr. Surenyants said. In regard to normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations Mr. Surenyants stressed, that century-old problem cannot be solved in two months.
