“Peaceful Caucasus” unfeasible unless there is progress in Karabakh process

“Peaceful Caucasus” concept cannot be realized unless there is progress in Karabakh process, Director of Penta Applied Political Studies Institute Vladimir Fesenko said today during Yerevan-Kiev TV bridge on “New Political Landscape in South Caucasus”. “The idea can be brought to life but there are lots of problems, with Karabakh settlement issue being one of them,” political scientist noted.

Another problem, according to expert, was the Russian factor. “Moscow is quite envious of South Caucasian projects it’s not involved in,” Fesenko said, adding that in case of launching regional projects, economic interests should be in the focus.
