The U.S. is concerned over the situation in Nagorno Karabakh and hopes to find an admissible formula during the OSCE summit in Astana, U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE said.
“We are concerned over the increased number of incidents at the contact line in Nagorno Karabakh, which claim human lives. The situation is alarming,” Ian Kelly stated in Brussels.
“The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs are trying to keep the dialogue between Yerevan and Baku alive. The most important thing now is to continue talks,” he said, quoted by Ukrinform.
Kelly also noted that the U.S. eyes OSCE summits as an opportunity to resume top dialogue between the conflicting sides. “We would like to see both sides at the summit in Astana. We can also offer them to adopt a “road map” to settle the conflict. That’s what we hope for,” he said.
