Deputy editor-in-chief of IzRus portal Alexander Goldenshtein said Israel hopes that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will retain his post.
“Otherwise, Islamists can not only override government but also seize control over the most efficient army of Middle East,” the expert told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
“There were rumors that Hosni Mubarak could find a shelter in the Jewish State, but it’s merely a PR move. Mubarak is a hale man and even if he is overthrown, he will find lots of places where he can live in his old age. It's hot in Israel and taxes are high. Do you think he needs it?” Goldenshtein said.
