Strong Armenia will participate in local self-government elections, faction leader Narek Karapetyan announced.
“Of course we will participate. There are only a few days left, and we will present the details,” Karapetyan said, RFE/RL reports.
Three months ago, the leader of the Strong Armenia faction promised voters that the struggle against the authorities would not end on June 7 and would continue in communities in the fall.
It is noted that, alongside those statements, only the ruling Civil Contract party is participating in the municipal council elections scheduled to take place two weeks later in the Tumanyan community of Lori Province. Opposition forces are not participating in the elections.
Elections in the Tumanyan community are scheduled for September 27.
