Armenia’s top taxpayers include 68 IT firms: Modex

In the third quarter of 2026, 68 IT companies were included among Armenia’s 1,000 largest taxpayers, contributing 85 billion drams to the state budget, according to the Modex analytical platform.

The report states that the IT companies included in the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers collectively accounted for 4% of revenues administered by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) between January and September 2026.

“The 68 IT companies paid a combined 12.6 billion drams in corporate profit tax, with Digitain, the leading contributor in this category, accounting for 59% of the total profit tax paid (7.385 billion drams).

Among the 20 largest taxpayers in the IT sector, eight recorded declines in personal income tax payments, with particularly significant decreases at BostonGene and Arctera AM.

According to annual data for 2025, IT-related activities accounted for the largest share of Digitain’s revenue structure.

An analysis of Ride Tech’s (Yandex Taxi) business model found that the company specializes in the development, creation and operation of the platform,” the publication stated.

For each company, taxes were calculated as the difference between the total amounts paid by the company to the state budget and the amounts refunded to the unified account in respect of value-added tax (VAT) and excise tax.
