A procedural session with the election of the Constitutional Court president on its agenda will take place on November 6 at 11:00 a.m., the Constitutional Court announced.
The previous two rounds of the Constitutional Court presidential election failed to produce a result. Two candidates were nominated for the position: Vladimir Vardanyan, who put forward his own candidacy, and Edgar Shatiryan, who was nominated by Constitutional Court Judge Davit Khachatryan.
Neither candidate received the required number of votes in the first round, and the second round of voting also failed to elect a new president.
Arman Dilanyan’s term as president of the Constitutional Court expired on October 12.
