Narek Karapetyan discusses TRIPP, peace process with Czech ambassador

Narek Karapetyan, head of the Strong Armenia parliamentary faction, met Czech Ambassador to Armenia Petr Piruncik to discuss the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process and the TRIPP project.

During the meeting at the Armenian National Assembly, Karapetyan presented his faction’s position on both issues.

The meeting was also attended by faction lawmakers Harutyun Harutyunyan and Hasmik Yengoyan.

The discussions covered prospects for developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Czechia, opportunities to expand Armenia-EU cooperation and ongoing regional developments.

Welcoming the Czech diplomat to parliament, Karapetyan emphasized the importance of the continued development of Armenian-Czech relations. He drew particular attention to the need to deepen cooperation between the two countries across various sectors and make more effective use of the existing potential for collaboration.

The opposition faction leader also addressed shortcomings and challenges that, in his assessment, exist in several areas. Karapetyan shared his observations on these issues and outlined proposals for possible solutions.

Participants also exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. Armenia’s European aspirations and opportunities for further developing relations in this direction were also discussed.

On October 28, Armenia’s National Assembly ratified the framework agreement on strategic cooperation between Armenia and the U.S. concerning the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
