ILLEGAL ARMED UNITS ABLE TO PROVOKE CIVIL WAR EXIST IN AZERBAIJAN, NATIVE POLITICIAN CONSIDERS

Declaration of permanent state of emergency in Azerbaijan can destabilize situation in the country. As reported by Baku sources, such an opinion was expressed by director of the Azerbaijan’s Institute of Peace and Democracy Leyla Yunus at the meeting with EU special representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie being in Baku at present. She explained her anxiety by the fact that “illegal armed units able to provoke a bloodshed exist in Azerbaijan to date”. “International structures should be interested in stability preservation in Azerbaijan and use for this purpose all the resources available right up to exerting pressure upon the diplomatic representatives of the ruling command who will come to power in the country”, – the Azeri politician stated.
