The Turkish parliament has adopted a package of political reforms necessary for accession to the European Union. Specifically, as reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to “Associated Press,” it is expected to reduce the role of the military in the political life. Normalization of relations with neighboring countries is also among the EU requirements, as well as protection of national minority rights. The outcome of the talks with the EU depends on whether the authorities will manage to really fulfill the requirements.
