OTE GREEK COMPANY AGAIN ANNOUNCES SELLING “ARMENTEL” ARMENIAN TELECOMMUNICATION MONOPOLIST SHARES

OTE International telecommunication company of Greece is holding negotiations to sell the 90% stocks of “ArmenTel” Greek-Armenian company, which is the telecommunication monopolist of Armenia, president and general manager of OTE Lefteris Antonacopulos told “Reuter” agency. Meanwhile, as reported by the press service of the ministry of justice of Armenia, OTE does not have the right to sell its shares without getting the prior approval of the Armenian party. It should be noted that at present at a Yerevan court the suit of the ministry of transport and communication of Armenia against “ArmenTel” is going to be considered. It should be reminded that it is not the first case when OTE International leadership states selling the stocks. As international observers note, each time when a tickler regarding OTE emerges, via media the company spreads rumor on selling “ArmenTel” shares.
