TWO SUSPECTS OF BELONGING TO CHECHEN GANG UNITS DETAINED AT BORDER WITH AZERBAIJAN

Russian frontier guards detained two suspects of belonging to the illegal armed units in Chechnya, who tried to cross the border for entering Azerbaijan. Both arrested aroused suspicion because the passport photos did not correspond to the identity of the owners. Narrow inquiry is being carried out on each case at present. As reported by RIA Novosti, over two dozens of suspects, whose immediate participation in the illegal armed units in Chechnya was proved after the examination, have been detained at the southern borders of Russia during 11 months of the current year. In all over 2 000 trespassers of the Russian-Azeri and Russian-Georgian border were detained with confiscation of weapons, ammunition and blasting assemblies.
