The National Assembly of Armenia has approved changes to the law “On Citizenship,” in compliance with which the terms for acquiring Armenian citizenship for refugees from Azerbaijan are extended to December 31, 2005. As reported by the press service of the parliament of Armenia, earlier the term was limited to December 31, 2003. By now 62 thousand out of the 311 thousand refugees have Armenian citizenship.
